On July 27, 2015, at the primary school Dong Hieu, Thai Hoa, Nghe An, the Milk Fund "Vuon Cao Viet Nam” (or Stand Tall Vietnam) organized a Milk giving event for children from families under preferential treatment policies and families with contribution to the revolution in Nghe An. This was the very first stop of the Milk giving journey in 2015 of Milk Fund "Vuon Cao Viet Nam”, which marked a 7 successful year period of Milk Fund.

The ceremony welcomed the attendance of Mrs. Truong Thi Mai - a Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Chairman of the Committee on Social Affairs; Mr. Nguyen Trong Dam - Vice Minister of the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs; Mr. Hoang Viet Duong - Vice Chairman of the People’s Committees of Nghe An; Mrs. Le Tuyet Mai - Vice Manager of the National Fund For Vietnamese Children; Mrs. Bui Thi Huong - CEO of Vinamilk Corp, etc.

Nghe An, which is famous for their studious tradition with numerous well-known parentages and villages, is the cradle of a number of national and international generals, scientists and culturists. Also, Nghe An has quite a few advantages of developing cultural tourism, and at the present, Nghe An has more than 1000 cultural and historical sites, 200 sites of which are ranked, especially Kim Lien site - the hometown of President Ho Chi Minh. In order to express the gratitude to this historical land, in the 68th Remembrance Day, the program Milk Fund "Vuon Cao Viet Nam” chose Nghe An as its stop to give milk to the students of the primary school Dong Hieu, in Thai Hoa on behalf of Nghe An children.

In the program, students had the opportunity to meet, chat and play fun games with the program ambassadors such as comedian Xuan Bac and Miss Vietnam Ngoc Han. In 2014, Vinamilk also organized Directly Milk Giving for poor children in Co To island (Quang Ninh), children in Ba Tri (Ben Tre), and children from families under preferential treatment policies and families with contribution to the revolution in Quang Tri and Thai Binh, etc. With cups of sweet milk and kindness, Milk Fund "Vuon Cao Viet Nam” not only wanted to contribute to the improvement of nutrition conditions, maximizing both intellectual and physical health of Vietnam children, but also wanted to enhance the awareness and the care attention of the entire society to the development of children, the future holders of the country.

Milk Fund "Vuon Cao Viet Nam” was established in 2008 under the chairmanship of the National Fund For Vietnamese Children - the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs cooperated with Vinamilk. Milk Fund "Vuon Cao Viet Nam” was created to help children with disabilities in every corner of the country, with a small but absolutely practical action - giving by hands cups of nutritious milk to the children so that they would have more comprehensive development of better physical and intellectual health and a brighter future.

Mrs. PHam Thi Hai Chuyen - a Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Minister of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs assessed this program and its effects: "At the present, there are still numerous children with difficult conditions. They have not been fed with sufficient nutrition. They drink very little milk and do not even know what milk is. This leads to the fact that their physical and intellectual development still has a number of limitations. Therefore, the patience of the journey Milk Fund "Vuon Cao Viet Nam” consists of a lot of deep humanity meanings. The 7 year journey of Milk Fund has contributed to create chances for hundreds of thousands of children to drink milk more often and to have better physical fitness and intellect. Therefore, I highly appreciate the high sense of responsibility for community of Vinamilk and the companionship of the National Fund For Vietnamese Children and the program Milk Fund "Vuon Cao Viet Nam”. I wish the program would be continuously carried out in many years later.”

Mrs. Bui Thi Huong - CEO of Vinamilk, which has been the exclusive sponsor of Milk Fund "Vuon Cao Viet Nam” for 7 years in a row, said: "Children in Nghe An, especially from families under preferential treatment policies and families with contribution to the revolution have to face many difficulties in their lives due to the sequelae of the wars in the past, however, they could still overcome those difficulties to rise up, which deserves the attention of the society. Thus, with Milk Fund "Vuon Cao Viet Nam” and high sense of responsibility for community, in 2015, Vinamilk invested 8 billion dong in free milk for poor children. That shows the commitment of Vinamilk for Vietnamese generations, especially Vietnam children with a desire that "Every Vietnamese child can drink milk every day”, contributing to facilitate and maximize both the physical and intellectual potentials of Vietnam children, for Vietnam always rising. Besides, it also demonstrates that Vietnam needs a nation program of school milk to facilitate the comprehensive development of children, generating better human resources for the national industrialization and modernization of the country. On the Remembrance Day July 27th, Vinamilk shows their love for the children of invalids families in the hometown of Uncle Ho to express their gratitude to the great contribution of previous generations, who had sacrificed their lives for the independence and freedom of the country.”

Due to the fact that the country is still facing a number of difficulties with more than 1.5 million children with special circumstances, more than 2.5 million children on the edge of being in special circumstances, such activities for community are very valuable. With the motto "DEDICATED – STRAIGHTFORWARD - TIMELY – TOGETHER”, the National Fund For Vietnamese Children expects domestic and foreign individuals, organizations to take practical, timely actions to help children with special circumstances to have better studying and living conditions.
